Today, [livejournal.com profile] mollyawesome my good friend Molly came over and we watched Goblet of Fire, which one of my sisters gave me for Christmas. Very enjoyable.

Oh, and here's that crappy sketch I did of House's face a while back. It's from that scene in "Autopsy." You know, with the Puccini and the locker room, where he leans his head back against the wall...

And the Twelve Days of Stephantom

On the twelfth day of Christmas, Stephantom sent to me...
Twelve peaceniks drumming
Eleven pirates piping
Ten hippies a-skiing
Nine beatniks acting
Eight swords a-reading
Seven books a-writing
Six metaphysics a-meaning
Five hu-u-u-uman rights
Four tennessee williams
Three personality types
Two starving artists
...and a rent in a why.
Get your own Twelve Days:

It took me far too long (like 15 seconds) to realize that it was getting those from my LJ interests...

Haha, it makes me look like such a loser. :D

And, out of curiosity, did anyone else grow up watching and loving that short animation film, The Snowman? It's so wonderful, and while I did like it as a kid, I appreciate it even more now. (I don't think I quite had the patience for it when I was little.) Here's the last ten minutes or so of it on youtube: Walking in the Air and then party at the northpole, followed by the return home. The ending is one of the saddest things I can think of. Oh, life. ;)

Pssst, also, I saw that new H/W "How to Save a Life" vid, and I just thought I'd let you know I still like yours best. The new one is very powerful as it utilizes so many of the heartwrenching scenes that came after you made yours, but I did think the clips moved too quickly for my taste. I think there is a very delicate balance to not having things more too slowly, but also not too quickly. I have to admit that, as much as I LOVED your Pain vid, there were some parts that were a bit slow. How to Save a Life, on the other hand, your version, that is, was just absolutely perfect. In my opinion.

And Happy New Year, now, officially!

Haha, thanks. There are different approaches and styles to vidding... Di is far more talented than me at it, no question, and doing really fast-paced vids like that is far more difficult, but sometimes it's good to linger on some clips... Our "How to Save a Life" vids are just different. I think mine succeeds at telling a story and evoking a mood, but. Hers is much more impressive. But I think they're both good interpretations of the song... A song like "Pain" though - she would have done a much better job on than me. Oh, well.

And harrah for The Snowman! :) Though, I must confess, I think when I was little I did ask, "Why aren't there any words?" But now I absolutely love it. Maybe it's just an age thing... Of course, people probably are becoming more accustomed to more glitsy stuff too... Hm. But The Snomwan is a classic.

Happy New Year! (and my AIM screenname is "Steph then said")
