You know what? I liked this episode. I like that Amber was given some depth (reminded me of someone I know, actually) and I was a little sad when she left, even though I was expecting it and was fine with it. And you know, I like Thirteen. Yes, she's a second version of Cameron, but she's so much less annoying because she's laidback and cool; she's idealistic and sentimental but not antagonistically preachy. (If Cameron had been played that way all along, I wouldn't have minded her. In fact, one thing that always frustrated me about Cameron was that she was a person I thought I should like, because my natural inclination is to take her stance and say, "Um, compassion is good? Let's give people chances and try to help them/not hurt them?" But something about the way she was written or Jennifer Morrison played her just... rubbed me wrong, I guess.) But I very much do not want any development between her and House though. Because that'd just be dumb.

But yeah. I liked the case, I liked the patient, I liked the lack of over-the-top obnoxiousness, and I giggled a few times. And I didn't mind the not-subtle thematic discussions on differing worldviews and lifestyles because it was an interesting enough (and somewhat relevant to discussions going on in the current college underworld I'm living in) discussion.

And piano!House returned for a moment. And Wilson and House had another repetitive fight but that's ok because friends do have repetitive fights when they have those kinds of differences, and they both made enough sense this time. (A lot of the time, I end up going "Wtf? Shut up!" to at least one of them when they do that.)

And at the end when House gave Cuddy that cute little impy grin, Maddie said, "They're so totally gonna fuck at some point." And Sam said, "They have, haven't they?" at the same time as I said, "Oh, pretty sure they've been there already. There have been lots of hints at it. In fact, they went to college together," and Maddie said, "Ok, then definitely." We all enjoyed the whole thing muchly -- Sam, Eppie, Maddie and I.

Hey, I decided to diagnose the personality types of some of the fellow-candidates:

"Thirteen": 9w1 INFJ)
Taub (plastic surgeon): 6w5 ISTJ
Amber ("Cut-Throat Bitch): 3w4 ENTJ
Cole (single dad mormon): 6w7 ISFJ
Brennan (former doctor without borders): 1w2 INFJ?
Henry ("ridiculously old fraud"): 9w1 INTP (or 5w6? or 6w5?)
