depressing House fanvid

Title: Something In the Way
Song: "Something In the Way" by Nirvana
Characters:: House, some Wilson, a second of Cameron
Summary/Author's Notes:

Basically the most depressing video in the world.

This was the other unfinished vid I had hanging around on my computer, and I hadn't been sure I'd ever finish it, but look! Just now, I have. Not sure yet how I feel about it. I used some dialogue clips from the show, which I know some people don't like, and I often don't like, but I felt like it added to it. Plus, the lyrics are just the same thing over and over, so. Hopefully it's not too boring.

It's about... House and existentialism? That and House's depression and drug habits and general asshole-ness (as in all my vids). Largely inspired by the season finale, "No Reason." Except that at the end of that episode, you know he's decided to at least attempt to embrace a better life philosophy, whereas, this video just kind of leaves you feeling like crap. So. Enjoy! ;)

*Tunes guitar to emo, broods in a dark room*
Well done. I like this a lot. Very very good. I love how you threw in the clip from Daddy's boy. Everything fitted very well with the music, especially the shooting bit... and the dialogue was used very well - didn't overpower the music or vice versa. The themes and episodes were organised very well, also.

Great job.

Cheers.

AE.

Hey, Nirvana is not emo. lol.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. And glad to hear you thought the dialogue worked.

No.

But this video is... pretty depressing. Hence the emo guitar-tuning and dark-room-brooding.
; )

Hey, you're right, it IS the most depressing video in the world :) I'm the one who doesn't like dialogue, as you know *g*, and I still don't, but I thought the editing was lovely and atmospheric. I liked the quick succession of clips at the shooting too. I think it works despite the repetition of the song, mainly because of the clips you chose - particularly the scenes in the car, and all the horrible morphine clips.

Thanks! :) I'm really glad you liked it (despite the dialogue). As I said, I wasn't sure if I'd ever finish it. I started it about a month or two ago. It kind of made me tired and weary working on it, lol. Plus my computer had started acting funny around that time, and then stopped working altogether. But now I got it back and was able to finish it. So, thanks again.

I loved it Dube! ^^ the voice oveers were really well done, Nirvanas a good band to do them too, because most of the time Kurts monotone. lol
